Coffee & a Card: FB Live- Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Yay! I love Sunday mornings! I get to enjoy good coffee and good company during my Facebook live each Sunday morning! If you missed it, you can watch the replay HERE. You will have to request to join the group but I will be happy to add you! Be sure to enter to win the prizes I giveaway each week as well!

Today’s projects are alternatives from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit: Manly Moments. I fell in LOVE with this kit the moment I opened it. I love the color combinations and the woodgrains and plaid print! If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a fun and easy way to craft each month. A box is shipped directly to your mail box each month with a new project inside. It comes with EVERYTHING you need to make the projects. The cost is only $19.95 + tax. Shipping is already included! Click the link above to start receiving your Paper Pumpkin today!

I decided that I would focus on other projects you could make with this kit because I wanted to use every last scrap of this cute kit!

Manly Moments Projects 1

My first project is an idea that I got from fellow demonstrator Jackie Topa. You can see her original project HERE.  I loved the idea of making a gift card holder because my grandpa always asks for gift cards at holidays.  One of the cards in the kit has a specific fold that works perfectly for this project.

Manly moments project #1

I love that when you open the card, the gift card lifts up and is revealed. I added the trees to the insert so that it looked more rustic. This would be a perfect card to give to a hunter or fisherman and insert a gift card from a Cabela’s or other similar store.

My husband is neither of those things so all he had was a Nike gift card for me to use as an example. 🙂

My second project features the Waterfront Stamp set which I cannot get enough of! I LOVE the endless ways that this set can be used. This set goes so well with the paper pumpkin kit though. Don’t you agree?!

Manly Moments Project #2

I used the inside of one of the envelopes which has the wood grain pattern to create the background piece and then stamped the scene on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I cut out the stamped image with a Stitched Circle Framelit and layered it over some of the new Nature’s Twine.

My Third and final project is an envelope box. I CASED this idea from Demonstrator Rachel Tessman on her Facebook Live. You can find her video HERE. I love the idea of making a cute box from an envelope! I am always looking for ways to change it up and this envelope idea was PERFECT!.

Spring Creative Escape Recap

Saturday, May 19th was my Annual Spring Creative Escape. I partnered up with my teammate Cara Payzant to host this event and I think it was a great success!

The event was 12 hours of creative space and projects, good friends and good food! Each guest got a personalized Name plate, goodie bag filled with $25 in product and 3 projects we designed and prepped.

We also spoiled our customers with these 4 surprise gifts throughout the day. I wish I could have recorded all of the excited voices as we passed them out. I love surprises and I think our customers were surprised!

They got tickets into our door prize drawing and we gave them different ways to earn more tickets throughout the day. We had 30 prizes to give away! One of my customers earned a lot of extra tickets and ended up winning 11 of the prizes!! Woohoo! I was so happy for her!

We also had some people who couldn’t attend the retreat locally so their retreat was packed and shipped directly to them. We call this Retreat-In-A-Box!

I am already planning for my next event which will be held in early November and will be very much Christmas themed! If you would like more information about how to sign up for my next retreat, comment below! I would love to spoil you as well!

Coffee & A Card: FB Live 2018-2020 In Colors

It’s my favorite day of the week! Sunday! Watch my Facebook Live Replay HERE. I give away prizes each week so make sure you tune in!

I love getting up early and drinking my coffee with you while we craft together! Thinking up the weeks projects is fun but getting to reveal them to you is even better!

This week I have been playing with the new 2018-2020 In Colors. I am getting ready to do my In Color club and I thought, what better way to introduce them than to show you how fun they are to PLAY with!

The first project today is a mix of the old with the new-

Photo May 19, 7 41 18 PM

When I look at the new colors, I think of a Rainbow! Don’t you agree? So that’s what I made! I used the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle that is retiring at the end of this month to make this card. The framelits cut the clouds, the sun, and the rainbow! I love the sentiments in the this stamp set as well! So many possibilities! I wish this set wasn’t going away because I want to keep playing with it! I added a hot air balloon using the Up & Away Thinlit Dies which are carrying over to the new catalog.

The next project came from inspiration at my Creative Escape yesterday. We made Tutti-Frutti Gift Bags and I noticed that the striped paper in the new In Color Designer Series Paper looks a lot like a watermelon so I made a Watermelon Gift Bag.

Photo May 19, 7 51 04 PM

Using the Punch Board is easy and quick and I love how the bag turned out! I also used the sentiment from the Fruit Basket Stamp Set which is retiring at the end of May as well. I love this FUN little bag!

My Last project was also inspired by my Creative Escape. As one of the gifts to our customers,we made them all Tombo glue stands. So I created a New In-Color version. What do you think?

Photo May 19, 7 45 23 PM

I think that Blueberry Bushel and Grapefruit Grove go so well together! Plus storing your glue upside down, is so convenient and helpful! I decorated the holder with flowers from the new Springtime Impressions Thinlits out of the New Catalog.

Sweet Stampede Blog Hop #003

New product image

Yay! Its another Sweet Stampede blog hop! Our theme this month is New Products! As demonstrators, we get access to the new annual catalog first! Which is just one of the many awesome perks to buying the Starter Kit! You can learn more about joining my team and all of the wonderful perks HERE.

There were some fun new sets to choose from but I picked the set called Sitting Pretty. It really spoke to me for 2 reasons. First is that I lOVE the framelits that come with it! They can cut out 2 types of benches, all 3 animals from the stamp set and even emboss a cobble stone walk way! The second reason was because of the Bulldog. He is so DARN cute!

 Sitting pretty

When I thought up this card, I wanted to make a pretty gold bench so I heat embossed the image with Stampin’ Gold Embossing powder. Then I used the framelits to cut it out. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Here is a close up of the bench I embossed-

Around the Corner close up

I sponged the brick wall behind the bench to add more color and depth. I used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks as the stencil and a sponge dauber to apply the color. Overall I am very happy with this card!

You will be able to order this set and LOTS of others starting June 1st unless you purchase the Starter Kit, in which case, you could get them NOW! $99 gets you $125 in product of your choice and a continuing 20% discount on all your orders!

Below is the product list-

Coffee & a Card- FB Live: Mother’s Day Treat Holders

Happy Mother’s Day! I wanted to honor all the wonderful mother’s in my life by dedicating my Facebook live to Mother’s Day gifts. I have 3 projects that are sure to show mom you love her. They all involve chocolate which is one of the easiest ways to my own heart.

If you missed my Facebook Live video, you can watch the replay here on my Facebook group. You will have to request to be a member but I am happy to add you and am usually pretty quick to respond to requests. If you comment on the video and share the video with your FB friends, I will also enter you into the drawing to win PRIZES! I give out 2 prizes each week just for watching.

Project #1 this week is a fun little purse. I got this purse design from Bibi Cameron who is a UK demonstrator. You can find her video here.

Mini Purse

Isn’t this a sweet little treat for a mom? Or maybe all your friends who are moms, co-workers that are mothers or even a neighbor. All of the elements to this project are retiring at the end of this month! The Designer Series paper, the pearls, the stamp set and even the Peek-A-Boo cardstock is leaving. So if you want to recreate this project, make sure you order the items before they are gone! Stamp sets are guaranteed until the end of the month but the rest of the products are only while supplies last!

Project #2 is a cute treat box that you could fit any kind of chocolate, cookies or treat in.

Hershey Kiss Box

Fortunately, the only thing retiring with this project is the Designer Series Paper. But wouldn’t this be a sweet treat to give to anyone? I love the Berry Burst color with a pop of silver foil. The Label Me Pretty Bundle is so versatile and I love the coordinating punch! You can buy the stamp set and punch as a bundle through May 31st at a 10% discount so if you want this set, make sure to order it for additional savings.

Project #3 is one that I CASED from my FAVORITE 3D Genius! Julie DeMatteo (The Paper Pixie). I got this project directly from her YouTube Video.

Rosebud Treat Holder-2

I love how sweet and simple this treat is. But so PRETTY! I have provided a PDF of the measurments and product list HERE for your use. I also have all of the supplies linked below for your convenience. If you have any questions, please e-mail at
