Today’s projects are alternatives from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit: Manly Moments. I fell in LOVE with this kit the moment I opened it. I love the color combinations and the woodgrains and plaid print! If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a fun and easy way to craft each month. A box is shipped directly to your mail box each month with a new project inside. It comes with EVERYTHING you need to make the projects. The cost is only $19.95 + tax. Shipping is already included! Click the link above to start receiving your Paper Pumpkin today!
I decided that I would focus on other projects you could make with this kit because I wanted to use every last scrap of this cute kit!
My first project is an idea that I got from fellow demonstrator Jackie Topa. You can see her original project HERE. I loved the idea of making a gift card holder because my grandpa always asks for gift cards at holidays. One of the cards in the kit has a specific fold that works perfectly for this project.
I love that when you open the card, the gift card lifts up and is revealed. I added the trees to the insert so that it looked more rustic. This would be a perfect card to give to a hunter or fisherman and insert a gift card from a Cabela’s or other similar store.
My husband is neither of those things so all he had was a Nike gift card for me to use as an example. 🙂
My second project features the Waterfront Stamp set which I cannot get enough of! I LOVE the endless ways that this set can be used. This set goes so well with the paper pumpkin kit though. Don’t you agree?!
I used the inside of one of the envelopes which has the wood grain pattern to create the background piece and then stamped the scene on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I cut out the stamped image with a Stitched Circle Framelit and layered it over some of the new Nature’s Twine.
My Third and final project is an envelope box. I CASED this idea from Demonstrator Rachel Tessman on her Facebook Live. You can find her video HERE. I love the idea of making a cute box from an envelope! I am always looking for ways to change it up and this envelope idea was PERFECT!.
Instructions on how to make this cute and simple box are all in my Facebook Live video. Watch the replay HERE.
