Coffee & a Card: Retiring Favorites and New product sneak peek!

It’s Sunday and that means another Coffee & a Card Facebook Live! If you weren’t able to tune in live, you can catch the replay HERE. Make sure to join my group and so you can always get notified when I go live! Everyday is Margarita Day copy

This week I featured a BIG set that is retiring. It has an unlimited amount of uses and I tried to showcase that in my projects this week. I’m talking about the Number of Years Stamp set and the Large Number Framelits.

Untitled design copy 3

My first project is perfect for a little girl! It has glitter and unicorns! Oh My! I used the Magical Day Stamp set and stamped the Unicorn all over a piece of Whisper White CS. Then I colored them with the Bermuda Bay Water Color Pencil. It doesn’t look too busy but still colorful. I added the Glitter behind the cutout so that it POPS! That much more!

12 yrs Close up

I love the sentiment from the Number of Years stamp set. It completed the project and I think any little girl of ANY age would love this card! I would love it and I am a FEW years older than 12 😉

My second project is for a very important person in any child’s life. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming and I’ll be ready with this cute card!

Untitled design copy 5

The Number of Years Stamp set is perfect to make the numbers on the chalkboard and the Large Number Framelits has 2 banners that are PERFECT for this card! I also used another retiring stamp set- World’s Best Champion, to get the perfect sentiments.

Untitled design copy 4

I distressed the chalkboard with White Craft Ink and used the Wood Textures DSP to make the Easel. I love how it came together and I think any teacher would love to get such a fun card!

For my last project, I combined the New with the Old! There is a set in the New Catalog (Not available until June 1st) that has a BULLDOG! Well it was perfect to use in my Graduation card because my Daughter’s High School Mascot is the Bulldog.

My daughter is just a Freshman but I know lots of friends who have seniors and this set is PERFECT! I needed some puppy paw prints so I used the Fox Friends Stamp set to make the trail of prints. The Large Number Framelits are perfect for graduation cards, don’t you agree?

Here’s a close up of the bulldog with his cap. I JUST LOVE IT!

Inspire.Create.Challenges #016 – Colour Challenge

Inspire. Create BadgeI cannot believe that I won my first ever Blog Challenge! It was such a wonderful suprise! I had so much fun seeing all the amazing things people came up with and sharing my creations that I wanted to do it again!

So here is challenge #016-I.C.C. 016I am in LOVE with these 5 fabulous In-Colors! There are some many color combinations that you can create just with these 5 colors! But Stampin’ Up! has retired them effective at the end of May 2018. You can still get these colors but only while supplies last. Check them out and all the other retiring products on my On-Line Store.

Cool treats card

I was inspired by the Cool Treats Stamp Set for this card. I love the amazing framelits that coordinate with it and all the yummy “paper” treats you can make with it! This set is retiring as well which I am SO SAD ABOUT!

Ice Cream close up

Notice that I added some realistic looking fudge to the top of one of my ice cream cones? This is a fun and easy technique using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Once the image is stamped, you simply go back over it with the glue pen and add a thin layer of glue across the area you want to appear shiny. This glue dries quickly so there is hardly any waiting while it dries.

Ice Cream close up#2

I also used the Glue Pen to add the sequin “sprinkles” to my other cone. And then one last time to add the sequins that are scattered around the card.

Untitled design copy 2

Do you love the Happy Birthday sentiment as much as I do?! Guess what……… YEP! It’s retiring as well! The Stylized Birthday Stamp is one of my go-to stamps. I use it on almost all my birthday cards. Its adds style to a card quickly and easily!

This card was fun and easy to make, 2 of my favorite things! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will again soon!

Coffee & a Card Facebook Live: Sunday, April 22nd

Hello again! It’s time for another Coffee and a Card Facebook Live! I love getting to chat and craft with friends every week. I have giveaways each week. To enter please leave a comment and share my video. This week I featured some more of my favorite retiring products.  You can watch the video on my Facebook Page. Make sure to like and follow so you will always get notified when I go live.

My first project was inspired by Erica Cerwin, my amazing Upline! She used the Popcorn Box Thinlits to make cute Circus inspired gift boxes. I used the same technique to make this cute little bird house treat box.

Untitled design

I used 2 retiring In Colors to make this treat box. Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy Cardstock. I also stamped the bird in Sweet Sugarplum Ink. I am going to miss these 2 colors so much!

Untitled design copy

Wouldn’t this make the cutest House Warming gift?! Or maybe a sweet Mother’s Day Treat. You could fill it with a packet of Bird Seed, or some sweet chocolates. Maybe even a Chocolate Egg! All of the measurements are provided at the end of my post in a PDF.

My second project was inspired by Rambling Rose Studios. I miss that wonderfully talented lady EVERYDAY! I find inspiration in her creations all of the time. Notice I used her Bow tying technique?

You move me card

I love the You Move Me Bundle! It truly looks like magic when the images start fluttering! I will miss this set come June. I also used the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper. I am afraid that this retiring paper is going to sell out any day! All products that are on the retiring list are only “While Supplies Last” with the exception of Stamp Sets which are guaranteed through May.

My last project was CASED from Debbie’s Designs. I wanted a way to show how versatile the Sweet and Sassy Framelits were and how you can make SO MANY different things out of a heart.

Calla Lilly card #2

I thought it was GENIUS to make Calla Lillies out of hearts! Wouldn’t this be a wonderful wedding or Mother’s Day card. What do you think? It’s definitely not one you can mail or fit in an envelope. But it would look so pretty on a shelf or display.
Calla Lilly Card

This card came together in a snap! I used a hot glue gun to assemble the flowers because I didn’t want them to come unstuck. Do you notice the other things on this card that are retiring? If you said the Lace Doilies and the \ Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper you are right!

If you would like to recreate these cards, here is the PDF with measurements and item numbers.

Below is the product list. If you would like to purchase any of the items, please do so on my online store.

Sweet Stampede Blog Hop #002

Retiring In Colors

Retiring In Color

I’m so excited to be apart of my first Team Blog Hop! I can’t believe that I have my own blog and such an amazing team to do this with! I feel amazingly blessed to do what I love and share it with some amazing people!

This month’s Blog Hop is all about the retiring 2016-2018 In Colors. I am so sad to see them go! But it’s fun to play with them while they last. I decided to make a card using 2 of my favorite In Colors together, Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy.

Photo Apr 11, 7 24 04 AM

I used the Lovely Wishes stamp set for this card. It will also be retiring May 31st so I wanted to get some play time with it while I still could! I stamps the flowers onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and made this beautiful flower background. Then I used the Sweet and Sassy Framelits to cut out the heart in the center.Photo Apr 11, 7 27 42 AMBut I wasn’t about to waste a perfectly good heart! I took the cut out and glued it to the back flap of the envelope to add an extra sweet touch. I added a Flirty Flamingo heart in the center and tied it all together with a bow using the Grosgrain Ribbon in Emerald Envy. I love the final product and I will miss every single item used to make this card when they all retire next month!

Coffee and a Card: Facebook live- Some of my favorite retiring products!

Good Morning! It’s been 3 long weeks since my last Facebook Live video! I am so excited to reconnect with everyone and get back in my craft room. If you would like to follow my Facebook page and get notifications when I go live, click here. With all of the exciting changes coming around the corner and the list of all the items retiring from Stampin’ Up! I wanted to show you some of my most favorite products on the list. Everything but Stamp Sets are only available while supplies last so if you love these items as much as I do, you will want to get them before they are gone forever!

I think one of the things I have the hardest time letting go of is all of the beautiful Designer Series Paper! I featured one of my favorite stacks with my first card. Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper is so bright, fun and playful! Don’t you agree? My card also features 2 of the 5 retiring 2016- 2018 in colors, Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy. ( LOVE THEM BOTH!)

Photo Apr 14, 7 39 30 AM.jpg

Notice another retiring product that has been in the catalog for a number of years? If you guess the Pansy Punch, you are right! I thought I was ready for change but now that I have to say goodbye, it’s a lot harder than I thought it would be!

The second card features 6 things that are retiring that I don’t think I can live without! I don’t even know which one I will be more sad about losing-

Photo Apr 14, 7 40 38 AM

The Lots of Labels Framelits!!

The Brick Wall Embossing Folder!!!

The 5/8″ Crinkle Seamed Ribbon!!!

The Window Shopping Stamp Set!!

The Pansy Punch!!!

and sadly……. Peek-a-Boo Peach In Color!!!

I love all of these products and I think this card showcases all of them wonderfully!

For my last project I have to give a big SHOT OUT to one of my favorite Demonstrators- Julie DeMatteo “The Paper Pixie” She shared this amazingly cute and easy mini handbag project on her website and I HAD to make one myself! You can find her video here.

Photo Apr 14, 7 38 30 AM

I chose to use the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper which is one of my FAVORITE stacks from the catalog. It also features Peek-A-Boo Peach so I tied the project together with a pretty bow using the same Crinkle Seamed Ribbon from my other project.

You can find all the items and measurements for my projects- HERE.
